Today is short post, I recently made this as i was craving ice-cream! Its winter I know but how gorgeous are these sunny days? Makes it all ok (;
In a previous post , I did a little write-up all about bananas and you can read that here. Â This recipe is a simple but delish recipe using only 4 ingredients, great for an afternoon snack and a really great alternative to your normal ice-cream. Kids will love it, and you wont have them buzzing on a sugar high afterwards.
If you are avoiding dairy this recipe is perfect and it also gives you a little kick of Vitamin C from the strawberries as well as a host of other beneficial nutrients! They are full of anti-oxidants (Antioxidants help combat the damaging effects of free radical activity to cellular structures and DNA.) ,improves blood sugar regulation, reduces inflammation. So these sweet red juicy little guys really have it going for them (;
Ingredients :* Use Organic where possible
4 Frozen Bananas
2 Cups Frozen Strawberries
2 Tbsp Coconut Sugar
1 Cup Almond Milk (recipe here)
Add all ingredients and whizz it up until smooth, add extra liquid if needed, but don’t add too much as you want it to be thick and creamy. Serve immediately or put into freezer.
Top with toppings of choice: coconut shavings, goiji berries, cacao nibs, or fresh fruit.
